It's tough for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the record chasers, are all that remain for a team that has accomplished all there is.

That it took as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

It's difficult for their batsmen to possess a record if not provided the chance.

Ultimately, the result of Australia giving up 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to create her most recent brilliance.

Originally famous as the 19-year-old niece of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after her country failed to win either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups conducted earlier and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

A T20 World Cup win came three months after her debut and seven global championships have followed from 10 tries across formats.

The gritty keeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India briefly halted the run of success.

That loss "drove us to reevaluate our levels," Healy said this week.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the final and was declared player of the series. She ensured her country would not come up short.

If this latest epic knock topped that previous effort remains open for discussion.

Many contend the case for final game tension. Some might respond with the test that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's definite is this hundred was much more difficult to anticipate.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she was the highest scorer, but this knock followed six innings in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"For those following me in practice sessions, it was a frustrating experience because it appeared my form was missing whatsoever," stated Healy.

"However when you take the field, your competitive nature activate and you simply focus on the match."

By the time she was removed the team needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm pleased we have the assurance to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if we do, we know we can do it."

These statements will be the last rival teams at this tournament want to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this triumph coming after success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.

During that phase they left the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at a significant event.

So strong is her resolve, she later said she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.

However although she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have pushed back plans to retire, this championship is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in 50-over cricket and she is yet to win a global event as captain.
