AC Shadows Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the official announcement, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.
The questline concentrates on "strange tests and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Content
Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana together with several artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-inspired outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Newest Free Story Addition
This patch also brings the game's latest free story episode, titled "The Mystery."
